Patt Lind-Kyle, author of ‘Heal Your Mind, Rewire Your Brain‘, joined Connect. Patt explained how understanding the brain can assist us in finding refuge from our pain. She described the structure of the brain and how it works. Patt described the role of neurotransmitters and brain waves in health and wellness. She stressed the importance of understanding our personality in order to heal our unconscious pain. Patt reviewed the power of the brain to heal and provided information and suggested tools to assist in that healing.

Dr. David Curry, APRN, talked about respiratory infections. He described the difference between viral and bacterial infections. He talked about have influenza is spread around the world and differentiated between the seasonal flu and H1N1. He talked about how vaccinations are created and the difference between various vaccinations. We then discussed other illnesses that impact the lungs, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
